Chris is responsible for the air service development, airline real estate, commercial real estate, advertising, marketing and consumer research activities of Tampa International, Tampa Executive, Peter O. Knight, and Plant City Airports.
Since joining the team in March 2011, Chris has implemented growth strategies and helped galvanize community support to recruit new service to Switzerland, Panama, and Germany. Chris has implemented practical solutions like introducing ongoing quarterly customer satisfaction surveys to benchmark against peer airports and improve performance, achieving the ranking of 3rd in the world for TPA’s size category. Chris builds highly motivated teams - in 2014, TPA’s Marketing team won global recognition, receiving the prestigious Routes Americas Airport Marketing Award.
Chris brings executive leadership experience as a nineteen-year aviation industry veteran. Prior to joining Tampa International Airport, Chris was Assistant Vice President, Air Service Development for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport with responsibility for passenger and cargo network development in the Americas, Europe, and Africa. He joined DFW from his position as the Manager of Oakland International Airport’s Aviation Marketing and Communications Department.
Chris earned his Bachelor’s in Economics from the California State University with continuing studies at the University of California at Berkeley and Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Chris has global aviation industry relationships. He is Co-Chair of the Tony Jannus Distinguished Aviation Society and serves on several community and industry boards and committees.
